Forgotten for more than 200 years, Vivaldi’s joyous and sunny Gloria has become his most beloved choral work. Italian pianist Alessio Bax performs the equally elegant Mozart concerto, known for its use in the movie Elvira Madigan as well as Neil Diamond’s “Song Sung Blue.” The entire ensemble—Bax, chorus and orchestra—come together for Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy, the magnificent precursor to the Ninth Symphony.
